Professional Bio
Chris Walker is a Client Advisor who joined SSP in 2025, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Originally from Americus, GA, he earned his degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia.
He began his career with Aflac as a Risk Management Analyst before moving to Atlanta, where he served as the Risk and Benefits Manager for the Rollins family’s RFA Management Company. He later joined Palmer & Cay, continuing his career through J. Smith Lanier and Marsh McLennan Agency in Columbus, GA before transitioning to SSP. Drawn to the broker’s strong reputation and family atmosphere, he was eager to return to a privately held regional company with deep client relationships.
As a generalist, he works with a wide range of clients, focusing on construction, nonprofit organizations, public entities, and privately held businesses. He also holds the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. Beyond his client work, he serves on the Board of Directors for Family House of West Georgia and Midtown, Inc., and is actively involved at Church of the Highlands, where he participates on the Dream Team and leads a men’s group.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Kitty, and four children. He can often be found outdoors with family and friends hunting, fishing, traveling, or cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs
